In 2017, Pastor Andre and his wife Erin began to dream about starting a new church that would be full of life and be a movement of hope in our community. In October of that year, they began having Bible Studies in their home and encouraging people to walk close with God and to not do church, but be the church.
What began as a small gathering in a living room continued to grow. The Corner soon moved to a local hotel conference room, then to the Berkeley County Museum, and in September 2018 found a home at Berkeley Middle School, where the church faithfully gathered for several years.
In the spring of 2023, The Corner secured its first permanent building, and in July of that year we moved into it. This building is more than a destination—it's where God is laying a strong foundation for our church. We believe He is using this season to prepare us for the day when He entrusts us with a future home that will serve our community and make a lasting impact for generations to come.
Since the beginning, our mission has remained the same: We are here to love people so that those who are far from God will know Him.
From the very beginning, Pastor Andre has envisioned The Corner as a community where people would:
Today, that vision continues to guide everything we do. Our prayer is to multiply disciples and churches until every corner of Berkeley County and beyondm is made new by Jesus.
